It is famous especially for its vineyards and for the production of vintage wine. Olina rose up many times against the Montecuccoli family and the Dukes of Este, because of the strict conditions imposed by the feudal dominion. Its history is closely related with that one of Scoltenna river. Its valley was, in fact, a flourishing economic centre, as the richness of its towers shows. The famous-one arch Olina Bridge is the symbol of this hamlet. It was built in 1522 on the ruins of an older bridge. The churches of S.Pietro and S.Paolo, dating back to 1600, and the old villages of C d'Olina and Baccaluva are all worth visiting.
