The hamlet of Frassineti originated relatively in recent times and underwent various historical events. Since it was located in a border zone between different and powerful political forces, it ended up supporting them alternatively, according to circumstances or chance. Therefore the community was forced by the times and events to take refuge in higher and safer places and then to come back to the valley, where now the small village is located. The village is dominated by the imposing figure of S. Giorgio church and its bell-tower, dating back to the XVI century. The rural villages of Serre, Sorbo and Coste are interesting especially from an artistic point of view.
